Many Muslims and a few Arabic-talking Christians describe themselves as Arabs, whereas many Aramaic-speaking Christians and some Muslims favor to describe themselves as Syriacs or Arameans. Also some folks from Syria, mainly Syrian nationalists, describe themselves only as Syrians or ethnic Syrians.
